We were privileged to run sound and lights for Kim Hill on Sunday afternoon as part of Westhaven’s Summer Concert Series. It was held in the open green area between the clubhouse and the pool. What a great concert! Kim Hill is amazing. She had a great band backing her up as well.
We used our QSC system for this outdoor concert (4 K12 Speakers and 4 KSubs), as well as our Allen & Heath iLive-T112 digital console. We used an Audix OM5 Microphone for Kim’s vocal and Shure SM58 microphones for the background vocalists. Kim and the band performed for a while before Lucy Pinson hit the stage with her acoustic guitar. The band backed her up as well. Kim came back out to perform a few more songs.

Then everyone was surprised to see Ellie Bannister Holcomb and her husband Drew hit the stage for a few songs of their own. They even brought up their family to sing a song together. What amazing talent!!! Kim came back out to the stage and finished the evening with a few more songs with the band. As the evening went on and the sun went down, we lit the band using 8 Chauvet COLORdash Battens on crank stands. It was a blazing hot afternoon but the concert was well worth the farmer’s tan we acquired during set-up.
