Event Coordinators for the 11th Annual BrightStone “Music That Touches the Heart” Songwriters Night Benefit reached out to SpringTree Media Group for audio, video, and lighting services to put on the show.
The concert featured solo performer, Jim Hayden; a full band, Case and the Common Folk; songwriters Kenny Beard, Monty Criswell, Ed Hill and Don Poythress in the round; as well as country music recording artist Trace Adkins who performed with piano, guitar, and drums. SpringTree Product Specialists used the Allen & Heath iLive Digital Console to store scenes from sound check and recall them during the performance to make sure the transitions between performers were seamless.

Engineer Beau Maxwell of Castle Recording in Franklin, TN and producer of Case and the Common Folk used the Allen & Heath iLive Digital Console for the first time while mixing audio for the jazz rock band. Maxwell has many credits to his name as an audio engineer as well as experience on the road with Little Big Town, Chuck Wicks, and Bucky Covington. Beau was pleased with how easy it was to learn and use the iLive Digital Console saying, “It was easy to get on right away and start tweaking [the audio.] I really enjoyed how easy it was to select EQ, High Pass Filters, and comps without having to get on the computer screen. It was very user friendly, and didn’t take more than a few minutes before I was comfortable.”
